Project Overview

Description of Project:


The project involved the comprehensive restructuring and pressure management of the Ain Al-Basha water network. Key infrastructure included:

  • Pipelines: Installation of 114,380 linear meters of Ductile Iron, Polyethylene, and Galvanized pipes.

  • Reservoir & Connections: Construction of a 1,000 $m^3$ collection reservoir and implementation of 1,505 house connections.

  • Smart Systems: Establishment of 29 District Metered Areas (DMAs) equipped with 17 intelligent Pressure Reducing Valves (iPRVs).

  • Control Center: Implementation of an advanced SCADA/Operation room featuring PLC/RTU systems for real-time pressure and flow monitoring.


Description of Actual Services Provided by Arab Dar:


Arab Dar Engineering Co. acted as "The Engineer", providing full technical and administrative supervision. Our services included:

  • Technical Oversight: Supervising all civil and electromechanical works for the network, service buildings, and the 1,000 $m^3$ reservoir.

  • Advanced System Integration: Overseeing the installation of the Pressure Management System (PMS) and wireless SCADA integration for control valves and flow meters.

  • Efficiency Validation: Monitoring Non-Revenue Water (NRW) levels before and after execution to ensure network efficiency.

  • Project Handover: Auditing as-built drawings and certifying the successful completion of works according to technical specifications.
